JNF Holds A One-day Symposium

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Jewish National Fund held a one-day symposium in New York City which brought together prestigious lay leaders from around the country. The group led by philanthropist and Campaign Chair Todd Patkin, and Vice President of Campaign, Charles Fax, was charged with developing marketing ideas, fundraising tools and strategies for the 2009 campaign.

BOSTON — “In Gratitude and Hope,” a new book of speeches annotated by Susie Davidson chronicling the friendship between German Consul General Wolfgang K. Vorwerk and Boston’s Holocaust survivor community, was distributed at a June 22 Temple Emeth luncheon honoring the Consulate’s Monika Dane, and Israel Arbeiter, with Orders of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The evening featured Udi Meirav, CEO of Luminus Devices, which develops and manufactures high performance solid state light sources for a variety of illumination applications.
